A girl with four legs

Well, if it could be shown in a photograph it must have been true, mustn't it?

It quite probably is. It looks like a possible parasitic twin.

Thank you, that's extraordinary; I had thought this particular one was a fake (especially as the picture was marked as anonymous where I found it).

At the age of 19, she married a doctor named Clinton Bicknell and had four daughters and a son. It has been said that three of her children were born from one set of organs, two from the other.

hahaha! I can just see her husband now... "Well, how's abouts we try the other 'un?"
LOL

Gosh and golly! What an inspiring individual to have taken such an odd twist of fate in her stride... no pun intended... and to have taken advantage of it and lived a long and prosperous life!

That's amazing - it's the fact they even put shoes and stockings on them that makes it freaky

I got the impression that they were healthy and working, if not full-grown, so the footwear made sense to me. It would be more unusual if they were inoperative or withered, of course!

Oh, lovely! I want to add this to my collection of beautiful Victorian freaks.

And nice icon, by the way. Jeremy Brett makes me drool involuntarily.

I'll be gormed! Barbara Gowdy wrote a (somewhat erotic) short story about a beautiful 4-legged young woman who married a doctor. It must surely have been based on this woman.

The short story, incidentally, is Sylvia from the book "We So Seldom Look On Love".

She's got a whole reproductive set between each pair of legs. ISN'T THAT COOL??? I hope that it's not possible to get pregnant in both at the same time, because that would suck ass.
